New integration enables Adobe FrameMaker users to expand DITA authoring and content management capabilities with Dx4™

AARHUS, DENMARK and KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – 30 November 2015 – DitaExchange™ – the leading provider of structured content management solutions built to run on the Microsoft SharePoint platform – announced today the out of the box integration of Adobe FrameMaker and Dx4. Through the new, built-in connector, Adobe FrameMaker users can now easily connect to their DitaExchange Dx4 repository of maps and topics without the need to change authoring tools.

“The new Dx4 integration with Adobe FrameMaker offers users of both solutions flexibility in choosing solutions for content authoring and content management,” commented Jim Nichols, vice president, DitaExchange. “We are excited to enable Adobe users access to our leading solution without the need to change their authoring tool.”

The Adobe FrameMaker integration with Dx4 enables users to:

  • Leverage the new, built-in connector to the DitaExchange CMS to manage DITA content easily;
  • Use the Repository view to check-out files, manage dependencies, versions, and perform searches; and,
  • Use the advanced metadata-based filter, which is dynamically fetched from the CMS to quickly browse and find relevant DITA maps or graphics in a large volume of content.

“Better integration and synergies between the content authoring and management engines will ensure better version control, more streamlined workflows and increased ease of component reusability,” commented Saibal Bhattacharjee, senior product marketing manager for Adobe. “We are pleased to be able to offer this new feature for our customers.”
